"No Sympathy, No Support – Will Chandrababu Move Against Jagan?"

The Delhi Assembly elections seem to have shown a path for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. That is, the belief that political leaders will gain sympathy and win elections after going to jail has been proven wrong by these elections.Previously, many believed that if popular leaders were jailed, their parties would gain public support and win the subsequent elections. In recent times, something similar happened in Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand, where Chandrababu Naidu and Hemant Soren were jailed before elections. After their release, there was a surge of sympathy among the public, leading to massive victories for their parties.
However, the Delhi election results have disproved this theory once again. In Delhi, even though highly popular leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and other AAP leaders went to jail, they did not receive any sympathy from the people. Some AAP leaders remained in jail for years. Manish Sisodia, who served as Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, was in jail for 17 months, while his boss, Arvind Kejriwal, spent nearly six months behind bars.Kejriwal, known for his strong connection with the common man, was expected to gain public sympathy due to his imprisonment in the liquor scam case, with many predicting his victory in the elections. However, the public did not show any sympathy, and ultimately, Kejriwal was also defeated. The AAP leader, who had won as an MLA three times, lost to an ordinary candidate. This outcome was unexpected for many. The reason for his defeat was that the common people believed in the allegations against him. The Delhi elections proved that if people believe the corruption charges against a political leader are true, they will reject them in the elections, regardless of their time in jail.
This also implies that taking action against corrupt leaders will not earn them public sympathy. Now, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu can take action against former CM Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who is facing multiple allegations of corruption, illegal activities, and even murder charges. The various cases against Jagan should be expedited, and he should be sent to jail.Chandrababu does not need to hesitate in this matter. If he is truly committed to fighting corruption, he can send Jagan’s entire gang to jail for looting the state over the past five years. If they are imprisoned, they will receive no public support or sympathy. They must face punishment for their misdeeds, and Andhravani firmly supports this stance. However, there are doubts that Chandrababu is hesitant to act due to potential political repercussions. But the Delhi elections have shown the way—there is no need for Chandrababu to worry, and Jagan can be sent to jail without hesitation...!
